Description

These are two timber-framed cottages, dating from around the early 17th century, located on Whitnash Road. Number 67 is entirely concealed by a 19th-century painted brick facade, while only the front of number 69 is brick-faced in painted brick, with the original timber framing exposed on the rear. A later addition, number 71, was built in the 19th century using brick and is not part of the listed structure. The roofs are steeply pitched, covered with plain tiles, and have gabled ends and simple barge boards. The front of the cottages has a five-window arrangement with a mix of 19th-century casement windows, those on the ground floor set within segmental brick arches. There are three modern doors, with a gabled canopy above the entrance to number 69. The ridge of the roof is punctuated by 19th-century brick chimney stacks.
