Description

This is a canal lock located approximately 5 meters north of Lowsonford Bridge, built around 1816 for the Stratford-on-Avon Canal. The structure is made of brick, with some 20th-century brick patching. It features single gates at each end of the lock. The Stratford-on-Avon Canal was initiated in 1793 and opened in 1816. This lock is included for its group value context.
