Description

This is a barn dating from the late 18th century, located 15 yards north-west of Deer Park Farmhouse on Wedgnock Lane in Leek Wootton. The lower 8 feet of the walls are constructed from sandstone ashlar, while the upper part is made of red brick. The barn features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends and measures six bays in length. Each flank wall has two pairs of wooden cart doors and slit ventilation holes. Inside, the barn has tie beam trusses with angle struts and bracing from the wall posts to the tie beams.
