Description

This is a barn located to the southwest of Upper Wendoverdean Farmhouse, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, set on a brick plinth. The barn features an old tiled roof and has a gabled cart entry that projects on the south side, with outshots on either side. The north side has cart doors positioned in the center. Inside, the barn consists of three bays with a threshing floor. It showcases heavy curved braces connecting the posts to the tiebeams, with curved principals supporting the collars, and a double purlin roof along with original wall framing.
