Description
Upper Wendover Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 17th century and has been altered over time. It features a timber frame that was refronted in red and vitreous brick during the 18th century. The northern bay has a chequer pattern brick design on the front, while the southern gable and rear wall are roughcast. The building has an old tile roof with two brick chimneys, one located to the right of the center and another at the left end.
The farmhouse is two stories high and has a first-floor band. The southern front consists of four bays, with upper two-light casements and lower three-light windows, except for a sash window in the third bay from the left. There is a half-glazed door in the second bay, which is sheltered by a modern open porch.
Inside, the central room on the ground floor features a heavily moulded spine beam and chamfered joists, along with a large inglenook. The interior also showcases exposed wall and roof framing with curved braces.
