Description
Quince Corner, formerly known as Chestnut Cottage, is a house located in Combrook, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched half-hipped thatched roof with brick ridge and end stacks. The building has a four-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a three-window range.
The entrance is situated to the left of the centre and includes a timber lintel above a 20th-century glazed door. On the ground floor, there are windows with timber lintels above three 3-light and one 2-light leaded casements. The first floor features two 3-light and one 2-light leaded casements with crown glass. A sundial is located on the left side of the house. There is also a single-storey extension at the rear left of the property. The interior has not been inspected.
