Description
This is a wall that extends approximately 45 meters along the north-east boundary of Tall Wall in Snitterfield. It dates from the late 17th century and is part of the grounds of Snitterfield House, which was a late 17th-century house that was demolished in the early 19th century. The wall is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings, featuring an ashlar plinth, quoins at the angles, and gabled ashlar coping. At the south-east end, the wall terminates in a brick pier, while at the north-west end, it has a short return that slopes down to the plinth. There are some 18th-century repairs visible. The wall is located opposite the west end of the Church of St James and is noted for its group value.
