Description
Upper Hunscote Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early to mid-18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of brick on a stone plinth and features a steeply pitched tile roof with brick return stacks, forming a U-plan layout.
The main, west front of the building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window arrangement. It includes a brick plat band and a top modillioned brick cornice. The central entrance is flanked by windows that have 12-pane sashes, along with 20th-century roof lights. At the rear, there are two hipped wings with a central lean-to infill, which also features a brick plat band and a modillioned brick cornice. The rear has segmental-headed windows, including one on the first floor with a small-paned cross-casement and another that is blocked.
Additionally, there is a two-storey 19th-century addition with a pyramidal roof. This addition has entrances on each floor, a segmental-headed window, and one window with a three-light small-paned casement. The north side of the building has a window with a cross-casement. The interior has not been inspected.
