Description
Oddcott is a house dating from the 17th century, with earlier cruck construction, and was raised in the 19th century. It is built from squared, coursed ironstone and features quoins on the left side. The roof is slate with a brick stack at one end. The house has two storeys and a three-window range, following a three-unit plan. The central entrance has a 19th-century plank door, a 20th-century wooden lintel, and a gabled hood. The windows are 20th-century casements, with two and three lights in all openings. Inside, there is one pair of crucks that are partly covered, two chamfered spine beams—one with ogee stops—and a large open fireplace with a chamfered stone surround and a cambered timber bressumer. Some stone flagged floors are also present.
