Description

This chest tomb, dating from the 1770s, is located approximately 2.5 meters north of the chancel of the Church of St Peter in Welford-on-Avon. It is constructed of ashlar and features a moulded plinth and slab edge. The tomb is adorned with angle balusters and panels that have scrolly Rococo framing. The inscriptions are mostly worn, but one remains, commemorating Elizabeth Holthom, who died in 1777.
