Description

A sundial located approximately 4 meters south of the porch of the Church of St Peter in Binton. This sundial is the base and part of the shaft of a churchyard cross, likely dating from the medieval period with alterations from the 18th century. It is made of ashlar stone. The base features chamfered angles with worn carvings, while the remaining shaft has a chamfer with enriched lower stops. The cut surface of the shaft includes a metal gnomon.
