Description

This is a 17th-century cottage located on the north side of Coughton Lane. The original construction is timber-framed with lath and plaster infill, with some areas underbuilt and rendered. The roof is thatched, featuring boxed eaves and two brick ridge stacks. The cottage was originally a two-unit plan. It has one storey and an attic, with a two-window front. A central 20th-century ribbed and studded door is set within an open thatched porch. Windows are 19th-century casements with glazing bars. Swept dormers are visible on the roof. The left return side retains portions of the corner posts and gable framing, though it's also underbuilt and rendered. The interior, which has not been inspected, is noted to contain exposed framing. Rear additions have been made to the property.
