Description

This building is a barn and stable located approximately 10 meters east of The Old Vicarage. It likely has origins in the 18th century but was altered and partly rebuilt in the mid-19th century. The structure is made of coursed squared ironstone, featuring a brick dentil cornice, with the left return wall constructed of brick. The roof is tiled and has coped gable parapets. The barn consists of four bays, while the stable has two bays. There is a central barn doorway with a basket arch, and to the right, there is a stable door with an overlight. The building also includes a two-light casement window with glazing bars and a hayloft door above it. The lintels are painted wood. Inside, the barn has a through and butt purlin roof supported by A-frame and king-post trusses. This building is included for its group value.
