Description
Westfield Farm House is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from 1663, with alterations made in 1955. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and features a concrete tile roof with stone ridge stacks. The building has a T-plan layout, with a cross-wing on the right and a single-storey outbuilding, now partly incorporated, projecting forward on the left.
The house is two storeys tall with an attic and has a three-window range. There is a mid-20th century plank door with a wood lintel located in the angle of the building. The windows are mostly mid-20th century stone mullioned windows, including a three-light window to the left. The ground and first floors feature small 17th-century single light windows in the angle, while the first floor has two 17th-century two-light windows. The wing has a three-light window on the first floor and two-light attic windows, both with hood moulds. The gable displays a datestone marked 1663. The left return side has a three-light window, and the outbuilding also has a three-light window. The roof is hipped, and the rear of the building is irregular, with some old mullioned windows visible. Inside, there is an open fireplace with an ogee stop-chamfered beam.
