Description

The headstone, located approximately 3 metres south of the vestry of the Church of St George in Newbold Pacey, dates from the early to mid 18th century. It is made of ashlar and features an illegible inscription within a bowed oval panel that is framed with scrollwork and flanked by foliage. Above the panel is a small cartouche, which is also flanked by cherubs. This headstone is a well-carved example of Baroque style.
