MORTON BAGOT SP16SW 5/127 Church Farm, barn and shelter 01/02/67 shed approx. 130m. SE of farmhouse (Formerly listed as barn SE of Church Farmhouse)

Barn and shelter shed. C17/C18. Timber framed with tension braces and brick infill; right end and return side of barn underbuilt in late C20 brick. High lias plinth, patched with brick. Barn has C20 tile roof, shelter shed has old tiles. L-plan. 3-bay barn. Doors missing. Left return side has jowled posts. interior: Coursed lias retaining walls, with central post to tie beam and diagonal braces to wall pasts. Queen strut roof with wind braces; some re-used timbers. Shelter shed is L-plan. 6 x 3 bays. C18 and C20 brick pillars, and one C19 cast iron column. Half-hipped gable. Queen strut roof. The buildings stand on a moated site. Forms oars of a group with Church of the Holy Trinity (q.v.), Church Farmhouse (q.v.). and barn range (q.v.).
