Description
The Malt House is a house dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed of lias stone in alternating thick and thin courses, with limestone dressings, and features a tile roof. The house has an external stone chimney with a late 20th-century brick shaft on the left gable. The gables are coped and topped with ball finials. The building is L-shaped, with two storeys and an attic, and has a two-window range. There is a door and porch located in a late 20th-century single-storey wing that is set back on the right. The stone mullioned windows have king mullions and hood moulds, with four lights throughout, except for the ground floor window on the right, which has five lights, and two lights that likely replaced the original door. The attic features a two-light window. The interior has not been inspected.
