Description
Stone House is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It features a projecting wing made of coursed stone, while the rest of the building is rendered. It is said to be built over timber framing with brick infill and has a concrete tile roof. The house has a large external stone chimney breast with a brick shaft and is designed in an L shape, with the gable end facing the street on the right. It is two storeys tall with an attic and has one window range. To the left of the chimney, there is a 20th-century glazed door and porch. The windows are three-light stone mullioned with hood moulds, and there is a small blocked two-light attic window. Some small framing is exposed on the first floor at the rear, with stone built underneath. The interior has not been inspected.
