Description

Farnborough Church of England Combined School and School House is a building that dates back to 1831, likely constructed in the late 19th century. It is made of regularly coursed ironstone and features tile roofs with brick stacks. The structure is designed in a T-plan and exhibits Tudor style characteristics.

The school, located on the right side, is a single-storey building with a symmetrical four-window range. It has moulded Tudor arch doorways at the left and right corners, with the left doorway displaying a date in the spandrels and a biblical quotation. The doors are ribbed, and there are three-light stone mullioned windows on either side, with taller four-light mullioned and transomed windows in the center. A continuous hood mould runs throughout the facade. There is a 20th-century stack at one end and a late 19th-century brick wing at the rear.

The schoolhouse features a central staircase plan and is two storeys with an attic, presenting a symmetrical three-window range. It has a chamfered Tudor arch doorway with a recessed ribbed door. The stone mullioned windows consist of three lights on the ground floor and two lights above, with a central single light. Hood moulds are present throughout, and there are two diagonally-set square ridge stacks. The interiors have not been inspected.
