Description

Saddlers Cottage is a house dating from the mid-17th century, which has undergone repairs in the late 20th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone and has a late 20th-century tile roof with brick stacks. The house follows a 3-unit plan and has two storeys and an attic, with a 3-window front. An old 4-plank door is set within a simple moulded wood surround, located between the second and third bays. A porch with a high straw-thatched roof is present. The windows are likely 19th or 20th century casements; the left-hand ground-floor window is set at a higher level. Three large late 20th-century dormers are visible in the roof. The house features 19th or 20th-century end stacks, and a 17th-century ridge stack constructed of thin bricks. The interior was not inspected.
