Description
This building is a cottage and stable range, located approximately 2 meters southwest of the Old Manor House. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and is constructed of regular coursed limestone rubble. The building features a steeply pitched hipped thatched roof with brick ridge stacks. It has a long rectangular plan and is a single storey plus attic. There are six entrances, along with one blocked entrance, featuring plank or stable doors with wooden door frames and wooden lintels. The building also has four wood-mullioned windows, some of which include opening lights and wrought-iron casement fasteners, along with glazing bars. Additionally, there are three half-dormers with 20th-century casements. This structure is included for its group value.
