Description

A pair of town houses built in the late 1840s on Bull Street, Stratford-upon-Avon. The houses are constructed of brick with buff brick headers and have a slate roof with brick end stacks. They are designed in a Georgian style, and are symmetrical with a three-window frontage. Plaster quoins are visible at the left end of the building, and the top is defined by a modillioned brick cornice. The paired entrances have panelled pilasters and an entablature which extends over the flanking bay windows. The entrances have overlights; the overlight to the left has margin lights, and both lead to six-panel doors. The canted bay windows have plaster plinths and fixed glazing in a 4:16:4-pane configuration. The first floor windows are segmental-headed with narrow sills. There is a blind central window on the first floor to the left, with a 16-pane sash in a moulded frame, and a 20th-century casement window to the right. The stacks have stop-chamfered angles. The houses share a similar style to those on College Lane from the 1830s.
