Description

The group of two chest tombs, located approximately 5 meters north of the tower of the Church of St. Peter in Stretton on Gosse, dates from the early 19th century, specifically 182? and 1833. These tombs are made of limestone and sit on a flagstone base. The tomb dated 1833 features a base with a moulded plinth, a moulded ledger, and an urn top that is intricately carved with a putti head. The earlier tomb from 182? also has a moulded plinth and moulded ledger.
