Description

This is a late 17th-century cottage, located in Stretton on Fosse. The building is constructed from limestone ashlar and squared, coursed rubble, with quoins. It has a thatched roof with a rendered ridge stack and an ashlar end stack featuring a moulded cornice. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, and has a three-window front. The layout comprises three separate rooms. A stone, chamfered doorway is positioned to the centre left. A three-light mullioned window is located to the far right. To the right of the doorway is a 20th-century stone porch with a glazed door. A 20th-century two-light casement window is situated to the centre right and to the right of the attic. A stone storey band runs horizontally across the front. The gable ends have been partially rebuilt and contain 20th-century casement windows. The interior was not inspected, but is likely to be of historical interest.
