Description
Withy is a house located in Welford-on-Avon, dating from the 17th century with a 20th-century restoration. It features a timber frame with painted brick and plaster infill set on a rubble plinth, topped by a steeply pitched half-hipped thatched roof, with some tiles at the eaves. The house has a brick end stack and a stack at the rear of the ridge, following a three-unit plan.
The exterior is single-storey plus attic and has a two-window range. The entrance, located to the right of the center, has a 20th-century plank door. To the left, there is a group of three 2-light small-paned casements, while the right side features a small square light and a 2-light small-paned casement. The first floor has raised eaves on the left end, with a single small-paned casement and a 2-light small-paned casement, along with a 2-light casement in the center. The attic floor shows square framing with bracing. The left return is made of brick with a partly timber-framed gable, and the right return adjoins The Owl Pen. The interior has not been inspected.
