Description

This description covers a wall and gatepiers located approximately 10 metres north of and opposite The Old Rectory in Shipston on Stour. The structure dates from the early to mid 19th century. It features a low brick wall topped with limestone coping. There are two limestone gatepiers, each about 1.5 metres high, which have a moulded cornice. The gatepiers are connected by a 19th-century iron gate, and 19th-century iron railings sit atop the low wall. This structure is included for its group value.
