Description
The Church of St. Peter features a group of four chest tombs, located approximately 4 meters west of the tower. These tombs date from 1748, 1818, 1830, and 1839 and are made of limestone. All four tombs rest on a base of flagstone and brick, which originally had railings that are now missing.
The tomb dated 1748 has a moulded plinth and baluster corners. One end is intricately carved with an orb and three putti heads, while the other end shows a putto seated on an orb, holding a rose over a skull and part of a skeleton. It also features a moulded ledger. The two identical tombs from 1830 have moulded plinths with filleted corners and plain ledgers. The chest tomb dated 1818 has a simple moulded plinth and ledger.
