Description
King's Coughton Mill House is a mill house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, with the right section possibly being older. It is constructed of plastered brick and features a simple moulded plaster cornice. The roof is tiled, and there are plastered brick chimneys. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the left half having three storeys and the right section having two storeys, comprising a four-window range.
The central entrance is framed by a moulded and reeded wood surround with corner roundels and a hood supported by shaped brackets. The door and windows are from the late 20th century. The first-floor windows are set under segmental arches with straight moulded cornices above. At the rear, there is a three-window range, with a central door and windows that have hood moulds. The ground floor has a window only on the left side, with 20th-century casements. A moulded string course runs between the first and second floors, and the second floor features pilaster strips. There is a long brick wing with a brick dentil cornice and irregular fenestration. The interior has not been inspected.
