Description
This is a house located at 155 High Street in Henley-in-Arden, dating from the late 18th century with some later alterations. The building is constructed of brick laid in Flemish bond and features a renewed tile roof with coped gables and brick end stacks. It has a double-fronted plan with an end passage.
The exterior consists of two storeys plus an attic and is almost symmetrical with a two-window range. A top dentilled brick cornice adds detail to the façade. The entrance, located to the right of the centre, is framed by an architrave and has an overlight with margin lights above a six-panel door. To the left end, there is a segmental-headed passage entrance that features a late 20th-century half-glazed door. Flanking the main entrance are canted bay windows with late 20th-century small-paned glazing, which are linked by a flat roof that extends over the main entrance. On the first floor, there are two windows with rubbed brick flat arches above eight-over-eight horned sashes set in wide frames. The two renewed hipped dormers have two-light casements. The pointing has been renewed in the late 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
