Description
Westcote Manor is a house dating from the 17th century, with a 20th-century extension. It is built of squared coursed ironstone and features slate roofs with stone ridge stacks and stone coped gables. The original 17th-century section has a two-unit plan, is two storeys tall plus an attic, and has a two-window range. At the center, there is a two-storey gabled porch. On the ground floor to the left, there is a three-light stone mullioned window with a hood mould, and to the right, there are two-light stone mullioned windows on both the ground and first floors, all of which have been renewed. Attached to the right is a 19th or 20th-century five-window range, with a plank door located to the right. Inside, the 17th-century section features chamfered beams with stepped stops, and the bressumer of the open fireplace is also chamfered with stepped stops. There are two stone fireplaces with chamfered jambs and stepped stops, and a 17th-century four-centred stone fireplace in the 20th-century range, which has likely been reset. The well staircase from the 18th century has been altered.
