Description

Home Farmhouse and attached farm building dates to around 1750, with an addition constructed in the mid-19th century. The original range is built of ironstone ashlar, distinguished by a horizontal string course. The roof is slate, featuring moulded coped gable parapets, and internal and end stacks are constructed of ashlar with string courses and cornices.

The original farmhouse is a double-span building. It is two storeys high with an attic, and has a three-window front. The windows are casements, with 2, 3, and 4 lights. Stone lintels with keystones are above the ground-floor windows, and these lintels merge into the string course. A datestone is visible on the first floor, to the left side of the front elevation. There are two small dormers in the roof. The entrance to the 19th-century addition features a half-glazed door with glazing bars and an openwork porch. The addition includes sash windows with stone lintels and keystones.

The attached farm building to the left may also date back to the 18th century, although it was raised in the 19th century and has a matching string course. It features two doorways; one on the right side has a missing door, and the other on the left has a plank door with a three-pane overlight. A single window is located on the first floor. The remainder of the farm building is obscured by the later addition. The left return side has pigeon holes in the gable end. The rear of the building is irregular. The interiors of both the farmhouse and farm building have not been inspected.
