Description

Hall Meadow Farmhouse and the attached stable to the right are a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with extensions added to the rear in the late 18th or early 19th century. The building is constructed of ironstone ashlar and features a steeply pitched asbestos roof that extends over both the farmhouse and the stable. There is a brick end stack on a stone base. The farmhouse is a single storey plus attic and has a two-window range. A 20th-century door is located to the right, featuring a continuous wood lintel, with a 20th-century window to the left. The attic contains two casement windows. The attached stable on the right has a plank door with a wood lintel, flanked by two window openings, also with wood lintels, and a loft opening above.

Inside the farmhouse, the original layout consisted of one room, which has now been divided by a brick partition into a kitchen and a passage. The kitchen features stop-chamfered beams and stop-chamfered joists, along with a 19th-century fireplace that likely fronts an inglenook. There is a plank door leading to a winder stair and stone flag floors throughout. The late 18th or early 19th-century brick extensions at the rear include a cellar, a buttery with a brick floor, and a dairy with a red tile floor, both of which have plank doors.
