Description

This is an 18th-century barn with an attached shelter, located in Winchcombe. The barn is constructed of squared coursed ironstone with a corrugated iron roof and comprises four bays. A double plank door is situated centrally to the left, and a stable door with a timber lintel sits to the right. There is a hayloft opening above the left side. Inside the barn, original tie beam trusses are present. Extending forward from the left side is a shelter, open at the front, built of squared coursed ironstone with a corrugated asbestos roof that is hipped to the left. The shelter has four bays, with the rightmost bay closed off at the front. The barn's interior features tie beam trusses, principal rafters, and a ridge piece - with the exception of the left bay, which has been partly renewed. A stone flagged threshing floor is also present. The shelter has a tie beam roof and contains one replaced purlin.
