Description
Moorlands is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, featuring ironstone quoins and lintels, and has a limestone plinth. The roof is made of old tiles, hipped to the left, with a brick stack at the right end. The building has two storeys plus an attic and a three-window range, following a two-unit lobby-entry plan. The entrance includes a 20th-century part-glazed door, flanked by 20th-century pilasters and a pediment. The windows are 19th-century casements with stone lintels and keyblocks. There are gabled dormers on both the left and right sides. At the rear, there is a brick range from the 18th century. Inside, the beams and bressumer of the open fireplace are chamfered and feature stepped stops.
