Description
Elmers Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid to late 18th century, with alterations and additions from the 19th century. It features regular coursed ironstone, with later additions made of red brick that include a brick dentil cornice. The right side of the building has a slate roof, while the taller addition on the left has a tile roof, along with 19th-century brick ridge and end stacks. The farmhouse is designed in an L-shape, with a wing extending to the rear. It has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range. The 18th-century section has a central 20th-century half-glazed door set within a 20th-century open-fronted glazed porch. The windows are mostly 19th and 20th-century casements, typically with three lights and glazing bars, and feature painted wood lintels. There is also a two-light gabled roof dormer. The left addition has a window on the ground floor only. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
