Description
This is a row of three cottages, originally four, situated on Birmingham Road in Coughton. The cottages were constructed in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, with further building in the early to mid-19th century. They are built of brick, featuring a brick dentil cornice, and have a tile roof with brick ridge stacks. The layout is T-shaped. The row is two storeys high, with a five-window front, although number 3 is taller, possessing a two-window front with a central 6-panelled door. Number 4 has a plank door set beneath a segmental brick arch. Two doorways are blocked up. An entrance to numbers 5 and 6 is located on the left return side. All entrances are covered by mid- to late-19th century tile hoods with chamfered woodwork. The windows are wood and iron casements with glazing bars. The ground-floor windows are set within brick segmental arches, while first-floor windows have painted wooden lintels. The rear elevation has irregular window placement. The interior has not been inspected.
