Description

There are two chest tombs located approximately 4 meters south of the south transept of the Church of St. Margaret. These tombs date from the mid to late 18th century and are made of moulded sandstone. Each tomb features a moulded plinth and top. The westernmost tomb has square corner balusters, two fielded panels on the sides, and plain ends. The other tomb is dated 1797 and has broad corner balusters along with an incised panel that includes an inscription to Margaret Winterton.
