Description
Lawford Lodge Farm consists of a farmhouse and an attached barn. The cross-wing on the right dates from the 17th century, while the left range is from the early to mid-18th century. The cross-wing is built of squared coursed limestone, and the 18th-century range is constructed of brick with a string course. The plain-tile roof features stone-coped gable parapets, and there is a brick ridge stack. The right return side has a large stone external stack with two partly-rebuilt square brick shafts. The building has a T-plan layout with a rear wing and a cross-wing that projects to the rear on the left. It is two storeys high and has a four-window range, with the main front facing the garden. The 18th-century range includes a porch. The windows are mostly 20th-century casements with plain bars, arranged in two and three lights to the left of the 18th-century range. The left return side features an old three-light casement with glazing bars and a brick cambered arch. The gable parapet has kneelers and ball finials. The interior has not been inspected. The attached barn at the rear is from the 18th century, built of brick with a plain-tile roof, consisting of three bays and featuring a central doorway and a queen-strut roof.
