Description
Lodge Farmhouse and the attached barn are a farmhouse and barn built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The structure is made of coursed dressed and squared stone, topped with a tiled roof that features verge parapets on dentilled brick eaves and brick end stacks on the house. The building is a two-storey continuous range, with the house on the left side. The house has two 2-light block mullioned small-pane casements, while the barn, which has a hay loft above, includes three small windows and two doors—one in the center and one against the house that is now blocked and fitted with a top-hung casement. This blocked door may have been the main entrance, which has since been relocated to a lean-to at the left end of the house.
