Description

North Lodge at Arbury Hall is an entrance lodge built in the mid to late 18th century, with later additions at the rear. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features plain-tile roofs with brick stacks at the back. The lodge has a gatehouse design that includes two round towers and a large four-centred arch, which is adorned with three small openings above. The windows are also four-centred in style. Each tower has a small leaded lancet window on every floor, a string course at the upper part, and plain parapets. High walls flank the lodge on both sides. At the rear, the towers have four-centred doorways with ribbed doors facing the drive, along with two-light windows that feature Y-tracery and a lancet window above. Additional ranges behind the towers include small lancet windows, while further ranges, likely from the 19th century, have two-light casements and single lights above. The interiors have not been inspected.
