Description
The gatehouse west of the stables at Arbury Hall dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and is constructed of sandstone ashlar. It features an old plain-tile roof that is concealed by parapets. The design is in the Gothic Revival Perpendicular style, characterized by a moulded and hollow-chamfered four-centred arch. Above this arch is a shield that displays a fleur-de-lys. The gatehouse has a simple embattled parapet, while the east side is more straightforward, featuring a chamfered arch. The interior is finished with plaster.
