Description

The coach house and attached walls at Arbury Hall date from the late 17th century, with later alterations. The structure is built of brick and features a moulded rendered cornice, topped by an old plain-tile hipped roof. It has one storey and an attic, with a total of five bays. The building showcases rusticated stone alternating quoins. The plank double doors are framed by bolection-moulded painted wood architraves, with narrower brick flat arches above. The return sides include timber-framed dormers. Inside, there is a run-out moulded beam. The walls are likely a mix of late 17th century and 19th century materials, with 19th century piers. The left wall is constructed in English bond brick and steps down to an ashlar pier that features a moulded plinth and cornice, topped with a ball finial. The wall on the right appears to have been raised in the 19th century and includes a blocked doorway. The walls stand approximately 3 metres high.
