Description
This listing describes a pair of gatepiers and a gate located 5 meters northwest of Holt Hall Farmhouse. They date from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with some early 19th-century features. The gatepiers are made of rusticated sandstone and have a moulded cornice, topped with original ball finials on stems that have square bases. The gate itself is made of wrought iron. It is believed that these structures were possibly built for Richard Sadler, who died in 1734, of Holt Hall.
