Description
This stable, located approximately 20 meters south of The Hollies Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain-tile roof and is aligned east-west, facing south. The building is one storey high with a loft and features a layout of 1:1:2 bays. It has fixed-light segmental-headed windows and a stable-type door with a segmental head, which is set within a gabled break to the left of center. Above the door, there is a segmental-headed loft hatch with a plank door, and a cantilevered beam for a hoist. The right-hand gable includes entrances to a pigeon loft, complete with flight platforms. Inside, there is a feeding trough at the rear and low timber stalls, which are likely an alteration of the original arrangement.
