Description

LEA MARSTON MARSTON SP29SM 5/73 Stable approx. 20m S of The Hollies Farmhouse GV II Stable. Early C19. Red brick; plain-tile roof. Aligned east-west facing south. One storey and loft. 1:1:2 bays: fixed-light segmental-headed windows and stable-type door with segmental head within a gabled break to left of centre. Above the door is a segmental-headed loft hatch with plank door, surmounted by a cantilevered beam for a hoist. In the right hand gable are the entrances to a pigeon loft complete with flight platforms. Interior: feeding trough at the rear and low timber stalls probably an alteration of the original arrangement.
