Description
This stable, located approximately 40 meters to the northeast of Honeycombe Farmhouse, dates from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone and features a roof made of stone slate and concrete tiles. The stable has a loft above and a south-facing front that includes a central gable with a circular window and seven rows of pigeon holes, with two additional rows extending along the eaves. There are three stable doorways, each with timber lintels.
On the west end, there are seven rows of pigeon holes and a central circular window in the gable. A blocked off-centre doorway has a pointed stone lintel, and to the right is a two-light chamfered mullioned casement window. The rear of the building features a central gabled loft doorway with a projecting flight of stone steps. Inside, the stable has a four-bay collar truss roof. This structure is part of a group with Honeycombe Farmhouse.
