Description

Camp Farm House is a detached house located in The Camp, Miserden. It dates to the late 17th century, with an addition to the north dated 1804. The house is constructed of random rubble limestone with ashlar and brick chimneys, and has a stone slate and concrete tile roof. It is two storeys high with an attic, and has a rear outshut.

The right-hand section of the front facade dates to the 17th century and features a 3-light ground floor window and two 2-light upper floor windows with chamfered mullioned casements. A doorway with a flat porch hood is positioned to the left, leading to a 4-panel door. The 1804 addition to the left incorporates a small, single-storey canted bay window with fixed glazing bars; a 2-light, timber-framed, 20th-century iron casement is above. A narrow window on the ground floor occupies the position of a former door. The north end of the house has been partly rebuilt around the attic casement, and a datestone is set in the gable apex. A gable-mounted chimney features a chamfered cap. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
