Description
Ivy Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. It features a timber frame with brick infill and some areas of brick rebuilding, topped with a plain-tile roof and equipped with a brick ridge stack and a corner stack. The building is a three-cell range aligned east-west and facing south.
The north front is one storey and attic high, showcasing three tiers of square panels up to the eaves level, supported by straight braces. The left bay has been rebuilt in brick. The front has four windows, which are 20th-century casements arranged irregularly, along with two gabled dormers—one in the center and a larger one on the left, both appearing to be from the 20th century. The right gable end reveals an exposed queen strut roof truss with V-struts positioned above the collar. On the south front, there are two doors, each set within a 20th-century porch. The interior has not been inspected.
