Description
St. Andrew's is a house built in the early to mid-19th century. It has rendered brick walls designed to look like ashlar and features a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves. The house is in a nominal Greek revival style and has an L-shaped layout, with the main part facing north-east and a rear wing extending to the south-west.
The building has two storeys and includes a plinth, panelled corner pilasters, a first-floor band, and an eaves band. The façade is arranged in a 2:1:2 bay pattern, with 12-pane glazing bar sash windows. The central bay is recessed and flanked by incised pilasters, featuring a double-leaf glazed door with a moulded and lugged surround, which is supported by fluted Doric columns. Above this door is a double-sash window, also with a moulded and lugged surround. The main house has four bays on its sides, while the lower rear wing has two storeys and four bays. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
