Description
74 and 76 High Street is an inn that has been converted into offices and flats. It dates from the mid to late 18th century and has undergone some alterations. The building is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof with a brick ridge stack on the left side. It stands three storeys tall, with the second floor having reduced proportions. Notable architectural details include a chamfered plinth, a first floor band that steps over a carriage entrance located to the left of the center, and a bracketed eaves course. The facade consists of seven bays, with 12-pane glazing bar sash windows that have gauged brick heads and raised keys, while the second floor has casement windows. To the right, there is a single-bay link that includes a second carriage entrance. This building was formerly known as the Angel Hotel.
