Description

The lock and basin located northwest of Whittington Road Bridge on the Coventry Canal dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick, featuring kerbs and quoins at the lower end made from large sandstone blocks. There have been some repairs made in the 19th and 20th centuries using brick and concrete. The structure includes both single and double gates.
